Ryanair advised passengers to protect their gadgets when travelling abroad as it launched Travel Insurance Plus which delivers cover of up to €500 against theft and accidental damage on ‘gadgets’ such as laptops, smartphones, tablets/ipads, games consoles and much more, for the duration of the passenger’s trip.Travel Insurance Plus is now available, on www.ryanair.com during the booking process to all Irish residents, and will be available throughout Europe in the coming months.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said, “Ryanair passengers know that the lowest fares are only available on www.ryanair.com which is why our tech savvy passengers are increasingly the proud owners of ipads, smartphones and laptops, which many bring on holiday with them. These gadgets are a target for opportunistic thieves so we have developed Travel Insurance Plus to allow customers insure their valuable gadgets against theft or accidental damage while they are abroad, from just €5.”
