Air France will offer three weekly flights between Marseille and Marrakech. The new route, which will operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, is part of Air France’s regional commercial offensive.Flight times (all times local):
* AF4338: Marseille 7:35 a.m. - Marrakech 8:20 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays
* AF4339: Marrakech 9:15 a.m. - Marseille 1:50 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays
The new route is the fourth destination served from Marseille being opened for the summer season (March-October 2012):
* Barcelona, two weekly flights,
* Hamburg, four weekly flights,
* Marrakech, three weekly flights,
* Venice, five weekly flights.
Currently, Air France serves 30 destinations directly from Marseille:
* France: Ajaccio, Bastia, Biarritz, Bordeaux, Brest, Calvi, Figari, Lille, Lyon, Mulhouse, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly, Nantes, Rennes, Strasbourg, Toulouse;
* Europe: Amsterdam, Athens, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Eindhoven, Milan-Malpensa, Moscow, Prague, Rome;
* Mediterranean: Algiers, Beirut, Casablanca, Istanbul and Tunis.
Successfully launched in Marseille in October 2011, Air France’s commercial offensive in the regions is directed at regaining market share in the short and medium haul market. In a highly competitive environment, the company has reorganized its network, optimizing aircraft use and improving productivity. The strategy will be deployed in Toulouse beginning April 1, 2012 and in Nice beginning April 3, 2012.
